Residents Clean Local Waterways During Lockdown

Advocates for Clean and Clear Waterways is a charitable organization launched by two D.C.-area residents dedicated to cleaning up local waterways amid stay-at-home orders during the coronavirus pandemic. Their first project is Hunting Creek. Caleb Merendino and Ben Swanson are the pair behind the group. They said they’ve pulled 110 bags of garbage out of the creek over the past six days and will need another 100 bags to finish the cleanup. Noah Lyles, of Alexandria Takes Tokyo Olympics Postponement Positively

Alexandria’s Noah Lyles and Bethesda native Katie Ledecky are dealing with the postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics until next year with a positive outlook.
