The King Street Trolley is a free, convenient, and fun way to move around the historic King Street in Old Town Alexandria.
The King Street Trolley is part of the City’s continued efforts to decongest and reduce mobile emissions by encouraging residents, commuters, and visitors to choose other travel options instead of driving alone. It runs from the King Street Metro to the Waterfront Torpedo Factory Art Shops, making numerous stops by historical sites, restaurants, and the famous Market Square and Carlyle House.
Riders can board at the King Street Metrorail station and at any of the flagged stops along King Street, which are around 2-3 blocks apart. There’s even a recorded announcement pointing out various sites along the route and informing passengers about the places they can visit at each stop.

Sunday – Wednesday:
11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
